Artist Bio: Valiahmetov a well respected RUSSIAN school painter of the 20th century. Valiakhmetov studied at the renown Surikov Art Institute in Moscow, and became a member of the Union of Russian Artists in 1958. He was awarded two prestigious diplomas, one from the Ministry of Culture and the other from the Moscow Union of Artists. He started exhibiting his work in 1957, and was included in the important ‘Soviet Russia’ exhibition in Moscow in 1960.
